LUXURY SEASONAL COLLECTION
L Ā G I R I
A collection inspired by the frescoes of Sigiriya — painted over 1,600 years ago, and still watching over the rock today.
THE STORY
Sigiriya rises 200 metres above the Sri Lankan jungle, once a fortress, a palace, a garden in the sky. On its western face, unnamed hands painted over 500 women in gold and ochre, suspended among the clouds, flowers in hand.
Only a few survive today, sheltered in a small pocket of the rock. No record remains of who they were. Only the image does.
LĀGIRI carries that image forward — through silhouette, colour, and craft.
THE INSPIRATION
The Damsels
The women of the frescoes reimagined across silhouette, the black silk dress closest to their form, the brown damsel print skirt and scarves echoing their gesture.
The Sky
From the soft blue of Sigiriya's morning to the gold of its last light, captured in a daylight dress and a sunset dress, drawn from the same view, sixteen centuries apart.
The Garden
The flowers and foliage that once framed the frescoes, woven into print throughout the collection.
This is what craft looks like when it travels.
Made with the memory of skilled hands
Some images don't need to be explained to be understood. They only need to be carried forward with care.
Hand-drawn. Hand-crafted.
