I founded Celeste Mendis with a vision to create contemporary luxury rooted in Sri Lankan craftsmanship.

Born in Milan and shaped by a multicultural background, my journey in fashion has been guided by a deep appreciation for artistry, heritage, and refined design. After pursuing luxury fashion studies at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, I envisioned a brand that bridges cultures, where European silhouettes meet the richness of Asian artistry and Sri Lankan artisanal traditions.

Drawing inspiration from a tapestry of cultures, continents, and generations, I integrate traditional craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities. The result is timeless, sophisticated silhouettes that celebrate the beauty of the natural world, cultural diversity, and heritage.

At the heart of Celeste Mendis is artistry. Each print begins as a hand sketch, thoughtfully illustrated before being brought to life as a textile design. These original artworks are then transformed into limited edition pieces, creating designerwear that is truly one of a kind.

Every collection reflects my belief in intentional design, limited production, and quiet elegance. I work closely with skilled artisans to honour craftsmanship while shaping silhouettes that feel modern, refined, and enduring.
